As a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives and the House Education and Public Works Committee, Jackie Terribile has made education a priority of her service. A mother of two and former member of the South Carolina State Board of Education, Jackie is committed to strengthening education in our community, supporting teachers, and ensuring parents have a meaningful voice in their children’s education.

Jackie believes South Carolinians should be free to make their own medical decisions without unnecessary government interference. In the House, she works to protect individual liberty, medical freedom, informed consent, and greater transparency and accountability in healthcare. She believes government should protect our rights—not dictate personal medical decisions.
Embracing the principles of small government and individual freedom, Jackie aims to preserve the autonomy of citizens, ensuring that the government serves as a protector rather than an intruder. She staunchly believes in upholding the rule of law, promoting public safety, fostering free markets, and safeguarding human dignity.
She is a vocal critic of Big Pharma, advocating for increased transparency, accountability, and regulatory measures within the pharmaceutical industry. She argues that reducing the influence of large pharmaceutical corporations and lobby groups will lead to more affordable healthcare and better overall public health outcomes.
Public Safety and Support for Police and Veterans
Coming from a first responder and veteran family, Jackie understands the service and sacrifice required to keep our communities and our country safe. In the House, she supports giving law enforcement and first responders the resources they need to do their jobs effectively and ensuring our veterans receive the support they have earned. Her commitment to public safety has earned the support of leading law enforcement officials in York County, including the Sheriff and Solicitor.
Jackie's platform is grounded in a steadfast commitment to public safety, recognizing the vital role that law enforcement plays in safeguarding our communities. With family connections to both police and firefighters, Jackie supports all first responders by ensuring they have the respect, resources, training, and technology necessary to effectively carry out their duties. She wholeheartedly supports our veterans, understanding that their dedication to our nation's security doesn't end with their service. She pledges to uphold and enhance services and programs that address the unique needs of our veterans, including healthcare, employment opportunities, and mental health support.
Judicial Reform
Jackie supports a fair, transparent, and accountable judicial selection process that protects the independence and integrity of South Carolina’s courts. As Judicial Candidate Chair for the South Carolina Family Caucus, she meets directly with judicial candidates and works to ensure caucus members have the information they need to make informed decisions before casting their votes. Jackie remains committed to reforms that strengthen public confidence in our judiciary and ensure judges are selected based on qualifications, integrity, and adherence to the rule of law.
Currently, the South Carolina Legislature controls the way state judges are selected and reappointed, which critics say gives legislators, many of whom are also lawyers, an advantage in the courtroom. A judge who fears his job may be on the line in upsetting a lawyer-legislator may be swayed to rule in the lawmaker’s favor. In the process of electing judges, the executive branch has no involvement.
Jackie believes that the state of South Carolina needs a more balanced process. The executive branch is charged with enforcing the rule of law and should have an equal hand in the selection process. Jackie supports judicial reform that will bring the executive branch into the process, so that no single branch of government can wield the sort of improper influence currently in question. Jackie knows this will also ensure that the public has a say in the quality of the judiciary by expanding accountability over elected officials across the state’s entire electorate, as all voters have a say in who is elected Governor.

Economic Prosperity
As District 66’s State Representative, Jackie is committed to fiscal responsibility, reducing wasteful government spending, and keeping more money in the pockets of South Carolina taxpayers. Her voting record reflects that commitment: protecting taxpayers, demanding greater transparency and accountability in state spending, and supporting policies that allow families and businesses—not government—to keep more of what they earn.

Jackie believes growth must be responsible and sustainable. Taxpayer dollars should prioritize core needs like schools, roads and infrastructure, and public safety—while keeping South Carolina an affordable place to live, work, and raise a family.
Government spending should be purposeful, targeted and efficient. The priority needs to be on schools, roads / infrastructure, and public safety. Jackie has observed that the establishment in Columbia wants to give large tax breaks to big corporations at the expense of the taxpayers living in the area. This must stop!
With a vision for South Carolina to remain one of the most affordable places to live in the United States, Jackie Terribile is poised to champion policies that promote economic growth, financial stability, and overall prosperity in District 66.
